Each piece of leather arrives at the manufactory with its own stories to tell. However, not every piece is given the great honour of crafting a Montblanc product. Acting as a record of the lives that the animals once led, this raw material tells its own stories in the form of scars, which allude to struggle, or perhaps even creased lines, which illustrate the joy of living out in the open and gazing freely at the sky. Whether calfskin, deerskin, lambskin or southern German cowhide: only the finest, most luxurious and most pristine specimens are chosen to become part of the Montblanc story.
